Episode 20 Transcript

Heather:
I have a question for you. What does owning your business mean to you? Does it mean you wake up on edge and jump into emails before taking a moment to breathe or plan your day every morning? Does it mean you work on the weekends without feeling like you can ever say no to projects or things coming your way? Does it mean that you have dreams about projects that you're working on, like actual dreams or nightmares, or wake up stressed out because you're not sure how you can deliver on what you promised? Does it mean you say yes to things you know you shouldn't because you just need that little bit of extra cashflow? Does it mean that you get angry at your team because they have not done what you wanted yet again? They're meant to read your mind, right? Or does it mean that you neglect your family and friends because you over committed to clients? Or does it mean you keep hoping to reach that revenue goal, but you never seem to make it. Or what about that you've started to doubt if you are any good anymore in your business? Or does owning a business mean that you take the role as a leader and you're looking for ways to motivate your team and help them work smarter? Or you set up reports and learn how to read them and let the numbers guide you on what to do. Or that you can take a week or two or more off when you want. And bonus if travel is involved. Or does it mean you block out non-negotiable me time for working out playing pool like I do? I like to play pool. Or whatever else you want to fill your time with. Or does it mean you know what you want in life and how to build a business that helps you have that to truly have what you want? Or does it mean, you know, how strategy is important. You invest in it and then you action it and you are on track for growth again this year because you focused on that strategy, you had time to do that. Or does owning your own business mean that you know what you do is incredibly valuable. You get paid for it. without needing to discount or ever fight for the sale? Or does it also mean that you have days filled with fun and joy? Because you're doing what you absolutely love to do. So I'll ask you again, what does owning your business mean to you? And if you're not happy with your answer, or you feel stuck, or you have somehow lost some of that hope that you initially had when you started, I want to tell you about something. So you guys, I'm really excited to announce my new live event. And it's been built for established service providers, if that's you, listen in. So service providers who want to learn a new way to scale your business, to grow from sort of that mid six figure level up into the seven figures. So it's going to be a two day event you guys, and stay listening because it's... doesn't matter where you are in the world, you can also attend. So basically what we're doing is two days and we're going to go through six different steps to get you from where you are to where you wanna be. So to basically, hopefully answer the questions how I gave you in the second scenario, having time off, being able to travel, being able to step into the role of a leader more than being reactive, all that sort of stuff, right? So day one, step one, we're gonna go through the purpose of your business and how much revenue you want to make. Because oftentimes we change as we grow our businesses over time, right? So we're going to cover that. We're going to break into like, why did you actually start your business in your first place? And also the revenue that you want to make. Step two, we're going to talk about developing one core signature package to get you there fast, to get you to that revenue level fast in a way that's not going to burn you out. I might add step three, how to choose your USP. your unique selling proposition and establish your new reputation to really reel in those higher rates that you want to get. Day two, we're going to talk about in step four how to create an irresistible offer that is also scalable. So doing business with you is an absolute no-brainer. And then step five, we're going to go into the channels to focus on so you can easily increase your prices and sell your new scalable offer. Step six, the last one is how to fine-tune track and measure your new sales conversions. Now guys, this is the main difference between a six and seven figure business. I keep saying in these episodes, or if you haven't heard them yet, I talk about how we work with conversion rate optimization or CRO. And it is all about this. It's about taking what you have and looking at it strategically and tweaking and fine tuning it to get you better results in your business. So we're doing this over two days. I have a co-trainer, he's also on my team as well, Adam, and I'm going to introduce you to him actually coming up very shortly in a future episode. Actually, I think I'm going to put him in the next one, so stay tuned for the next episode.
