Our Favourite Digital Marketing Tools for Small Businesses

Tools That Help You Sell More

Deadline Funnel

What is it:
Deadline Funnel is a tool that increases conversions by using countdown timers with personalised deadlines, which help generate more sales and business growth through urgency.

How we use it:
We like using the countdown timers both on landing pages and in emails (yes, you can embed the timers in emails!).  You can build 2 types of timers - one that is based on a day and time, and one that is specific to the person.  For example, when someone joins your email list you can make a special offer for 48 hours just to them and the timer works based on when they joined your list.

ConvertHub

What is it:
ConvertHub allows you to easily put social proof pop-ups, opt-in forms and call to action boxes throughout your site to build your email list and increase your sales. They work with all major email autoresponders.

How we use it:
We use this on some of our client's sites and specifically like it for the social proof pop-ups.  They show when someone either joins your email list or purchases something on your site. As people, we love social proof, so this is an easy way of showing that others are taking action on your website.

UpViral

What is it:
UpViral is a referral marketing software that allows businesses to design, launch and manage viral contests to improve reach among the target audience and promote products/services via a unified portal.

How we use it:
This tool is easy to use, not only for you, but for the people you want to share your stuff.  It easily allows you to set up trackable referral links people can use to get credit when referring others to you via social media or other channels. You can incentivise them with various rewards and create contests as well!

OptinMonster allows you to build different types of pop-ups to grow your email list, improve your website conversions, and reduce cart abandonment.

How we use it:
This is the pop-up tool we use on our website and our client's sites. We love it because there are beautiful templates you can use as a base and completely customise them to match your brand, it integrates with all major email marketing platforms and has exit intent for desktop users and timed pop-ups for mobile users.  And that means you don't have to use those annoying pop-ups that display straightaway.
