The Complementary Medicine Association is an association that supports, advocates for, and represents practitioners of complementary medicine.
What was the main problem?
They had a very outdated website, that was text heavy and confusing to navigate. All member sign ups were manual and all members shared the same password to access their member’s area. The navigation was confusing as to what was public facing vs member’s only because everything was mixed together.

What we did to optimise their website for conversions:
New design to appeal to the market
As an association their previous website was very “corporate” looking with minimal design elements and a lot of text. Now, the site has nature inspired textures and emotive images that resonate with their target market.
Simplify sitemap and reduce content
The previous site was page upon page of words that was text heavy and difficult to scan and sort for what you needed. All content has been stripped back and uses design elements, such as images, colour blocking and headlines to allow a visitor to scan and find what they need fast.
Online payments for members to join
Previously the office had to process all applications and payments manually. Applications are now online forms. Once approved, a member is given access to a private payment page to set up their monthly payments and choose their username and password for their member’s area. Other than the approval of a new member, everything is now automated.
Easy to use member's directory
A member can submit a form to be featured in a directory, The directory has filters for a visitor to find a practitioner to work with, such as area of speciality and also location. There is a map to find and search for a practitioner via location too.
Member's area with a learning portal and private shop
Each member has their own username and password and once inside the member’s area, they have access to a private shop with member’s only merch and a learning area where they earn CPE points. They can easily sort via instructor or topic type and then download a certificate of their points upon completing a module.
Area to upload member documents
Part of being a member of an association is the ability to provide documents when needed. Members are able to upload certifications, CPE Points and other forms for admin to support them in their membership.
