About the Business

HAIR The Movement is a transformative 3-day event founded by renowned hair artist Sharon Blain. The event aims to revitalise high-quality, technical hairdressing education by uniting over 35 global educators under one roof and is designed to future-proof hairdressing professionals by providing them with the skills, knowledge, and inspiration needed to thrive in the industry.

The Challenge

Launching a world-class event meant HAIR The Movement needed more than just a good-looking site – they needed one that could handle complexity with ease. From spotlighting top-tier educators and sponsors to mapping out a packed 3-day schedule, the user experience had to be seamless. Add to that multi-tier ticketing, third-party payment plans, and external bookings via Humanitix – and the challenge was clear: build a site that sells the vision and the tickets, without skipping a beat.

What we did to optimise their website for conversions:

Educator Showcase

Custom sections were designed to highlight global educators, building early trust and excitement. These are easy to update as the lineup grows and are colour coded so an attendee can easily see which day each person is teaching on.

Interactive 3-Day Schedule

We developed a clean, user-friendly layout for the multi-stream agenda, making it easy for visitors to explore each day and understand what’s included in their ticket.

Multi-Tier Ticketing Setup

Each ticket level was visually broken down to highlight inclusions and value. The layout guides users toward the right option for them.

Payment Plan Integration

To support accessibility and drive conversions, we linked to the third-party provider Partial.ly to offer payment plans. This is fully integrated using Woocommerce as a shopping cart.

Seamless External Booking

Ticket purchases happen on Humanitix, so we created clear CTAs and pathways that maintain user confidence throughout the transition to the external site.

Mobile-First, Fast & Functional

Knowing most traffic would come from mobile, we built a responsive, fast-loading site that makes browsing and booking intuitive across all devices. The menu and top of the home page have their own mobile version.
