Welcome guys, we're in episode 78. Now, I went to my local shops the other day, partly to get some groceries and partly to get into the aircon and cool off from our absolutely crazy intense summer heat that we were having that day. By the way, I still find it really strange that in January, it's the middle of summer here in Australia. Anyway, I was walking in through the sliding glass doors into this beautiful wall of coolness and into my local grocery store called Woolworths or as we call it here locally Woolies and there's a little sign off to my right hand side and it was like one of those you know those little signs you see in the shopping centers or malls that rotate through with different ads that's what was there and on it said I buy coffee for the person behind me at the line at my local cafe and under that it said
The Kindness Factory. Now I was really curious of what this Kindness Factory was and so I took a photo of the sign so I could come home and remember to google it. So when I got home I asked Siri what it was and she pulled up Mr Google and then he said the following to me. The Kindness Factory started from Kath Kosel, a former elite
This is a story of courage, hope and adversity and has now become a global kindness movement, touching the lives of hundreds of thousands of people from all walks of life. It's a not-for-profit organization based in Australia and the USA. The funds we raise go towards educational programs in schools, ensuring the next generation grows up with a foundation of kindness and have everything they need to make the world
We want to encourage people to show kindness to themselves and others in an attempt to reach one million acts of kindness. So it became quite evident to me that this was an act of kindness about this person buying coffee for the person in the queue behind them at a cafe. So obviously that was the little example of kindness. And it also got me thinking. It's truly amazing how one simple idea can have such a big effect.

when actioned, when actioned, right? The ideas we have when we do something with them can be quite amazing and profound. Now the kindness factory was an idea and now people are paying it forward all over the world and kids are learning about the power of kindness as a result. And now this is gonna have massive ripple effects. If you can imagine this sort of pay it forward concept, right?
So I want you guys to think about your business and the ripple effects that you're creating in your business, no matter who you're working with. Now, why did you start your business? You obviously had this amazing idea or concept or type of person that you wanted to help. So who is that person? Who did you wanna help and why specifically? And what does it mean to that person after they get your help? How will their life be changed?
as a result of working with you. Sometimes we just lose sight of how much our services or offerings can help others, right? When we're in the day to day, in and out, trying to grow the business, work with the team and take time for ourselves. We can lose sight of why we started what we do and how it can actually help people in the first place. And we often listen to complaints, unfortunately more than compliments, or at least I do. I don't know if you guys are the same, but read lots of articles about this that people listen to the negative things or reviews more than the positive. So we can be stuck in that sort of loop as well. So let this be a reminder that you've done some really good things in your business and in your life. And just remember all the good things that you are doing in this world. And let this episode be a permission to do more, to do more kind things in this world. Pay it forward and leave your own ripple effect.
Alright you guys, see you next time. Bye!
